Having attended part of my schooling at Dja primary school in Bandjoun (West Cameroon) we lacked everything (supplies, school books, reading books, ... etc.). The lessons I learned from the field allowed me, with the help of some friends, to initiate a solidarity project around the school and the public school of Dja.
One of our first initiatives was then to recover some of the material intended to be discarded and to collect supplies, to direct them to the school in Cameroon. This was the case for reading books, French, math, science or even languages that are still used in Cameroon today. In the same vein, there are many areas for action and initiatives. We could thus imagine a place of culture (media library) where young and old could go to read, learn, obtain information or learn about computers ...
Second life ...
Without any particular means other than our sole motivation and with the objective of making our contribution to the growth of a project, we will recover certain objects to give them a new life. For example, some computers under vista or other operating systems more old, are upgraded under Linux. By recovering and rehabilitating computer equipment, we are giving them a new life. Thus, we were able to equip a school in IT and other objects with new technologies.
Travel plan ...
Some time ago, we organized a trip open to people who participated in the initiation of the Cameroon Project. About ten participants were thus able to make the trip to Cameroon ... The objective of this trip was to allow everyone to realize in the field, the result of their action and their investment. The trip was very interesting and we were able to meet some teachers and parents of students from school. The trip also allowed us to offer a hundred students, slates and what to follow.
